Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Katie moved to the Newark Granville area in 2023. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband Steven–the current Youth Minister at St. Edward Church–and received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After living abroad for a year, Katie moved to Ohio to be close to Steven, and worked at the Ohio House of Representatives before accepting a position at St. Edward Church.
As Digital Media & Engagement Coordinator, Katie is excited to help keep our parish connected and streamline communications. Her responsibilities include designing and organizing the bulletin, creating and sending parish Flocknotes, updating the website, and keeping our social media and other communications up to date. A parishioner of St. Edward Church since 2023, Katie is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our parish mission.
Katie is the youngest of three siblings who live in different states across the United States. She enjoys writing, travelling, baking, and caring for animals. She is blessed to have visited Lourdes in 2019, and some of her favorite travel destinations include South Korea, Belgium, Colombia, and France.
