Father Timothy Hayes, Pastor Fr. Tim was born in McKees Rock, PA and grew up in Columbus, OH. We welcomed Fr. Tim to St. Edward Church in July 2023, and he has since become involved in many parish activities. He is a regular visitor to PSR and Preschool classes, as well as parish groups such as Youth Group, Knights of Columbus, Women of St. Edward, and Walking with Purpose. In his homilies, Fr. Tim guides parishioners in connecting the Scripture and saints of the day to their lives. He also engages parishioners by offering opportunities to come forward to receive personal, prayerful blessings from him and Deacon John for families, protection of throats, and married couples.
The eldest of 9 children–8 on earth and 1 in heaven–Fr. Tim enjoys getting together with his large family, cooking, reading, watching movies, and genealogy. He likes to travel and has gone “all around the world” to visit family and friends, and he has taken pilgrimages to Europe and the Holy Land. He would enjoy arranging a future pilgrimage for parishioners to visit sites associated with our Patron, Saint Edward the Confessor.
